A literary festival, also known as a book festival or writers' or author’ festival is a regular gathering of writers and readers, typically organised on an annual or bi-annual basis in a particular city. There are many Literary festivals held around the world and the list is exhaustive.

The Sarawak Authors Festival was organised by Pustaka Negeri Sarawak under Sarawakiana Division since 2017. The first Sarawak Author Festival was held on 19-21 May 2017, and the second festival was held on 15-21 October 2018. This authors festival had feature a variety of presentations and readings by authors, as well as other events, with the primary objectives of promoting and fostering writing among book authors, encouraging creativity in writing among local writers and preserving the literary heritage of the state.
